

Nona Solowitz began her professional career as an entrepreneur and now has come full circle. She started as a successful small business owner and went on to become a senior accountant at a large CPA firm, director of finance and administration for an internationally known film festival and executive director of the largest synagogue in the Coachella Valley.
Temple Sinai
Prior to founding Nona S. Solowitz, CPA, Nona spent six years directing all business and administrative functions at Temple Sinai, Palm Desert, CA, where she served as executive director. She was responsible for all financial activities in accordance with not-for-profit accounting standards including preparation of financial reports for internal and external use; membership development and marketing; supplier negotiations; and coordination, analyzation and maintenance of all departments' budgets. She supervised 10 full-time and 15 part-time employees.
PS Film Festival
Before taking that position, she served for five years as the director of finance and administration for the highly regarded Palm Springs International Film Festival, Palm Springs, CA. She was responsible for oversight of all financial activities and administrative functions, as well as managing employees and hundreds of volunteers.
Village Bake Shop and Deli
Earlier in her career, she was the manager/owner of a business in Palm Springs, CA, the Village Bake Shop and Deli, Inc. In addition to overseeing daily operations and full-charge bookkeeping responsibilities, she managed a staff of 15.
